This privacy notice tells you what to expect when Two Pennies Money Advice collect personal information.

What information do we collect?

We collect information about you when you refer a client or are referred to our service either by yourself or somebody else.

What do we use your information for?

Information collected may be used in any of the following ways:

  • To assess your situation and form a strategy to help you to resolve your money issues
  • To complete your financial statement
  • To communicate with your creditors regarding your financial position
  • To liaise with courts 
  • To communicate with your landlord or mortgage provider
  • To request information from your doctor or other health professional
  • To liaise with social services or other relevant third party

How do we protect your information?

Information is stored both electronically and in hard-copy. 

Two Pennies use a case management system called AdvicePro. All electronic information is stored in this system and is accessed via password-protected computers.  Hard-copy information is stored in locked filing cabinets that can only be accessed by Two Pennies staff.  

Within four years of a case being closed, all hard-copy documents will be securely destroyed and electronic information will be removed from the database so that it can no longer be retrieved.

 Access to personal information

You may request access to your personal information by making a ‘subject access request’ under the Data Protection Act 1998. In those circumstances we will:

  • Give you a description of the information held
  • Tell you why we are holding it
  • Tell you to whom we have disclosed it
  • Let you have a copy of that information

If you agree, we will deal with your request informally over the telephone. If you require a written response, this will be sent to you within 15 working days of the receipt of your letter.

Do we use cookies?

Yes, our website does use a small number of cookies and new visitors to the site are advised of this fact and are required to agree to this prior to continuation.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell or trade your personally identifiable information.

Consent

The lawful basis upon which we process personal information is by consent. If you consent to your information being used in the manner described above, please tick the box as indicated on the referral form.
