We have recently been awarded substantial grants by the Charles Hayward Foundation and Comic Relief for which we are incredibly grateful. This money provides us with real security and ensures that we will be able to deliver money advice to our ex-offenders and other clients for the foreseeable future.
We’re running another course on how to eat healthily even if you are living on a tight budget. This course is always well-received and very popular; mainly because we’re talking about food! Get in touch if you would like to know more about this and the other courses that we run.
We are delighted to be involved with a new project in conjunction with probation services and a social enterprise called i58. This new project entails providing money advice for clients who are ex-offenders and have significant debt issues. It is hoped that by removing the stress of financial hardship, ex-offenders will be less likely to reoffend.
Grants have been received over the last couple of months from The Foyle Foundation and the Saintbury Trust – big thanks go to those organisations for their support.
In March we ran a “Money Champions” course at the Warndon Youth and Community centre which was funded by the Our Happy Place project. Everyone who attended found it useful and helpful.
